Mason Vibration Isolation Spring Mounts
The series of vibration isolation spring mounts features a helical spring and come with or without guided housing.  A neoprene friction pad is added on the bottom of the spring or housing to help prevent the passage of noise.  Each spring is equipped with a loading and adjustment bolt at the top with a locking cap screw.  All models are designed so that the elastic limit is not exceeded when the coils are closed up and the springs are compressed solid.  This prevents damage when the springs are overloaded and assures a return to the spring’s free height.

Type SLF/ SLFH:

The configuration is used without housings for maximum vibration attenuation.  Besides, the design helps to prevent the transmission of vibration.  Single to multiple spring mount configurations are available for different applications.

Type C/ CI:

The mountings are specifically designed for noise and vibration free application on light concrete or wooden floors.  The housing allows spring to function properly in vertical movement while prevents the disturbance of horizontal force, e.g. wind load.

Type SLR:

Type SLR is restrained spring mounting with operating heights equal to installed height and interlocks for safety in wind loads.  The vertical limit stops and adjustment bolts control the height of the platform and help to prevent spring extension in case the weight is changed.  The connection hose can then be protected from damage.  Single to multiple spring mount configurations are available for different applications.

Mason Vibration Isolation Hangers
The most sophisticated designed hangers which constructed by a steel cup, double deflection neoprene on the top, spring and neoprene gasket on the bottom.  The upper neoprene eliminates high frequency vibration while the lower neoprene prevents steel-to-steel noise.  The spring is used to reduce the transmission of vibration.  The rod can swing through an arc of 30 degrees from side to side in any direction before contacting the neoprene bushing.

Mason Neoprene Mounts
ND
All metal parts of N and ND neoprene mount are covered by oil resistant neoprene to prevent corrosion and to provide nonskid surface.  All mounts are double deflection and with a minimum static deflection of 9 mm.  It is prefect for preventing noise and high frequency vibration generated by equipment.  Cap screw and washer are supplied for easy installation.

Mason Neoprene Pads

Neoprene pads pioneered the waffle design which offer higher capacities in a given rubber hardness.  The standard size is 450 x 450 mm with 81 modules (50 x 50 mm each).  Each square is separated by a thin web that is easily cut to provide evenly dimensioned pads and must be used in full square.  The pads can be used to reduce noise, high frequency vibration and impact from typical machines.

Type Super W:

The standard thickness and material is 20 mm and neoprene.  The alternative natural rubber and bridge-bearing neoprene can be offered.

Mason Formwork Type Floating Floor

Mason Formwork Type Floating Floor System basically consists of Low Dynamic Stiffness (LDS) Rubber isolators, plywood panel, polyethylene sheeting, reinforcement, concrete block, and isolation board. The LDS Rubber isolator consists of various sizes with different capacity and deflection. Cement perimeter isolation board which made of PVC foam with asphalt face around all walls, columns, curbs, etc. Floor drain can be installed where necessary.

Installation method: The LDS Rubber isolators are evenly placed on the structural floor. The isolators are then covered by 1/2” (12 mm) thick plywood or corrugated steel sheet followed by a 0.15 mm polyethylene sheeting and reinforcement. The concrete is poured onto the surface prepared as above and wait for curing. Caulk all perimeter isolation board with acoustical caulking made of synthetic rubber.

The concrete slab isolated from and supported above the waterproofed structural slab by resilient LDS Rubber isolators forms an air gap between the floating floor and structural floor acts as isolator which helps to effectively eliminate vibration, sound and impact.


Mason Jack-up Floating Floor

Mason Jack-up Floating Floor System basically consists of polyethylene sheeting, LDS Rubber jack-up mounts, reinforcement, concrete block and isolation board. The LDS Rubber jack-up mounts consists of various sizes with different capacity and deflection. The isolator is within the bell shaped cast iron housing. Lifting bushing and stop screw are all encompassed inside the bell shaped cast iron housing which facilitates jack-up motion. Cement perimeter isolation board around all walls, columns, curbs, etc. Floor drain can be installed where necessary.

Installation method: The entire floor area is covered by 0.15 mm polyethylene sheeting. The LDS Rubber jack-up mounts are evenly placed on the structural floor followed by reinforcement. The concrete is poured onto the surface prepared as above and wait for curing. Remove the rubber plugs on the cast iron housing of the jack-up mounts and rotate the adjustment bolt on each jack-up mount strategically.

The concrete slab is isolated from and supported above the waterproofed structural slab by resilient LDS Rubber isolators forms an air gap between the floating floor and structural floor acts as isolator which helps to effectively eliminate vibration, sound and impact.

The Jack-up system outperforms the Formwork system in the following ways:

  • It allows the rolling of heavy equipment into position before the floor is raised so as to prevent the floor from cracking.
  • As there is no plywood between floors, the possibility of fire hazard is eliminated.
  • Short circuiting of air gap by concrete spills between plywood panels is impossible to occur.

Mason Building Isolation System

Noise and vibration isolators are used to prevent the downward positive transmission of vibration from a machine to a structure, the upward negative transfer from the structure to a sensitive machine or to isolate a complete building from ground vibration.  There are different types of isolator for building foundation isolation.  Neoprene and natural rubber pads are designed for frequencies as low as 6 Hz.  The capacity of steel spring assemblies from 19 to 50 mm is 1,000,000 pounds.

Mason’s capabilities include mold manufacturing and steel work in addition to rubber mixing and molding.  All rubber products are molded under tremendous pressure of about 1000 pounds per square inch that comes from the huge hydraulic press cylinders.  Besides, Mason’s steel spring isolators do an excellent job of stopping vibration.  They are manufactured with 50 mm thick isolation pads and can be made to any capacity.  The precompressed spring assembly is available with neoprene friction and isolation pads installed on top and bottom of the holders.  Hydraulically adjusted spring isolators are also available with temporary support provided by concrete piers or individual steel stanchions.

Mason Bridge Bearings Pads

Mason Bridge Bearings Pads support bridges or highway overpasses using solid neoprene or natural rubber compounds of high loading per square.  The molded product has high tensile and elongation characteristics and minimal permanent set and creep.  They passed the rigid tests in ozone and oxygen resistance.  Capacities are controlled by area, hardness, thickness and perimeter relative to the loaded area.  Pads can be stacked with 3 mm steel plates between them up to 17.5 kg/cm2 for higher deflections and greater efficiency.  The standard sizes are 10” x 10”, 8” x 8”, 6” x 6” and 4” x 4” while maximum loads are 11340 kg, 7257 kg, 3583 kg and 1089 kg respectively.  The standard thickness is 1” while the deflection is ”.  However, custom-made pads are also available to suit specific needs.


Mason Vibration Isolation Air Spring Mounts

Air springs provide low frequency isolation with no metallic continuity and noise transmission.  Mountings are installed with leveling valves and a replenishing air supply.  The sphere is made of rubber with neoprene cover and liner with Nylon tire cord reinforcement.

Type MAS:

It consists of a rolling lobe and the air supply/ exhaust connection is of 6 mm N.P.T. type.
